How it works
- What it is
- Areas and missions: you name a space, take a photo of it, and HQ hands you a short, specific job to do in it — five minutes to ninety.
- Why it exists
- Because “clean the house” is impossible to start. One small space and one timed job is possible, and it gives you credit for finishing.
01
Create an area
An area is any space you'd like to keep organized — a whole room, a closet, one desk, or the back patio. Anywhere in your home, garage, or outdoors counts.
02
Photograph it
You'll need to upload a photo of every area so HQ can evaluate it. Don't worry: we're not going to narc on any unauthorized messes. This is how we see what needs improvement based on your standards — you get to define how you want things along the way, so today's standards might be kind of messy, but next month's standards might be delightfully artful. All the missions are based on photos, so you can't create missions without photos.
03
Run a mission
Once we have an area created and a photo on file, we draft missions between 5 and 90 minutes:
- — 5 minute sprint (just a quick tidy)
- — 15 minute sprint (cleaning up some mess)
- — 60–90 minute expedition (tackling a big project)
You'll get a few options for missions. Pick whichever sounds most fun, and click "accept." From that moment, the timer is running! You'll have a limited amount of time to work on the project, big or small. Submit a final photo to log your progress and get points for your work.
How the Vault works
- What it is
- The Vault is a written record of where your things are. You type in a thing and where you put it, and it stays searchable.
- Why it exists
- Because the special spot you'll definitely remember is the one you never find again — and then you buy a third pair of scissors.
01
Log one item
Tap "Add an item," name the thing, and say where it lives. Five seconds, no setup needed.
02
Or sweep a whole shelf
Take one photo of a shelf, drawer, or open box and HQ reads it, lists everything it sees, and files them all at once. You just confirm the list.
03
Say where things live
Items can sit in an area, or inside a container — a bin, a box, a drawer. Log the container once and everything inside it stays findable, even when you move the whole container to a new spot.
04
Move things and keep the map honest
Moved something? Update its spot in one tap. Records that have gone a while without a confirmation get flagged so the Vault never quietly lies to you.
05
Retire, donate, or sell it
Letting something go earns points too. Mark it discarded, donated, used up, or sold — and for anything worth money, HQ will draft a marketplace listing with a title, description, and suggested price.
Other important notes
- What it is
- The rest of the app: a searchable record of your stuff, the classes you level up in, and the wall where your finished work is kept.
- Why it exists
- Because effort that vanishes the moment it's done stops feeling worth doing. These keep the receipts.
- The Vault
- A searchable record of where your things actually are. Every time you put something away you can log it, and containers (boxes, bins, drawers) can be logged once so everything inside them stays findable.
- The Guild
- Missions come in different characters — sorcerer, set decorator, arctic scientist. The more missions you run in a character, the higher your rank in that class.
- The Trophy Case
- Your service record: points earned, badges unlocked, and every mission debrief with its before-and-after photos.
